Was chatting to the fella that owns alpine tt a bike touring company yesterday, he told me about a feature / supplement in this months ride magazine that covered one of his tours... His was on northern Spain (handy for garyb) but also had a lot on the grande alps (handy for me) and a fair bit on uk also. Best bit though was top 20 passes in Europe and some I'd ridden past so great to check against if your going that way so you can be sure not to miss awesome roads right under your nose!! Like this one I won't be missing next year.... Also some good tips on luggage and checklists of what to take etc If you've not been before which I thought was informative I bought it and had a little read last night and it's brilliant!! Well worth the money. Plus if you go here Tour 2013 you can download all the routes mentioned. The whole thing Is was well handy IMO As per alblades post - list of all roads and who's done what for future reference. Let me know and I'll add up peeps on here so it's all in one place: Europe's Top 20 Passes 20> Puerto de las Paloma 19> Cormet Roselend AlBlade 18> Pass of the Cattle AlBlade, jimbo vills 7> Col de la Madeleine AlBlade 16> Puerto de San Glorio 15> Col d'Aubique AlBlade 14> Col du Mont Cenis 13> Col du Petit St Bernard AlBlade 12> Fluelapass AlBlade 11> Timmlesjoch 10> Grimsel Pass AlBlade 9> Colle dei Morti 8> Col Agnel 7> Passo Pordoi AlBlade 6> Col du Tourmalet AlBlade 5> Col de l'Iseran 4> Col de la Bonnette AlBlade, jimbo vills 3> Col d'Izoard AlBlade 2> Stelvio Pass AlBlade 1> Grossglockner AlBlade, jimbo vills
Though I knew it, spent an enjoyable few hours waiting for road near it to open after a few thousand tons of hillside slipped off last June while heading for castellane.
Thanks for the heads up Jimbo, looks an interesting article. I shall endeavour to source myself a copy ASAP. P.S. your in box is full, and not accepting any further pm's
No worries pal! Get it, as it's brilliant, save the routes and mark on a map for when you are out there, be amazed how many of the top 20 I've road past (on amazing roads)... Emails cleared. Cheers
Got my copy Jimbo. what a run around though, news agents tried no fewer than eight since you posted this, no good, all i got was i can order you one in! so went to Asda in Fleetwood this morning and they got a stack of them on the shelves Anyway, finish my shift reading up, thanks again for the heads up Jimbo. Have i said thank you

Awesome mate. We are going June. Still a lot of snow though for that time of year! These were at the grosglockner this year.....
