I've never been this early but potentially going to ride down to Italy..... 4 days down via Germany, Austria, Italy.... Been in the alps in June and had snow road blocks but that was a bit of a one off.... (Usually just a bit of snow at that time of year) but anyone been that way that early in the season? Is it going to just be a daft idea??? Here's France 2 years ago. 36 degrees at bottom of the pass
Germany will be fine, and as long as you avoid the highest passes much of the mountain roads will be open - I know some pals went around 1st week May a few years back and had great time but needed to take a couple of trains with the bike to get from one range to another. Just Jimbo it and you'll be fine!
Don't forget the pic of me in RiDE magazine in the snowstorm in June in the Dolomites a couple of years ago. Get lots of pics when you report back pls.
