I fancy doing a Trackday using a professional hire bike firm. Like the idea of just turning up in my leathers, getting on a bike thats all prepared, knowing if it rains i will still get track time as they will just slap a set of wets. My current bike (new ZZR14) would do the job but i would deffo have more fun abusing a sporty 600 something or other. I,m thinking Cadwell would be good.

My question is has anyone used such a company and what was their experience - good or bad please share.

A lad I work with & his brother used these people SmallboyTrackbikes.co.uk

The bikes were immaculate and they were set up to their weight ect. A small company who really want to do it properly.. I want to have a go in the summer.

I'd be interested to hear other peoples recommendations.....

Yep totally agree, pal of mine used them......although whos event is it... Focused Events have hire bikes, all have heafty deposit £500/600 refunded when returned in one piece....plus cost of hire for the day so it adds up initally....

smallboys are prob the best,Matt+his dad are spot on,look after you all day and are very resonable price wise, plus if you do have a mishap, they only charge you for what it costs to fix,to a max of the 4/500 quid deposit, and if they can fix it and get you back out then they will, there are other hire companies that will take your deposit regardless of damage, and theres no way they'll let you out again.

Lots of good feedback from mates who have used smallboy bikes - the Focused Events bikes are nice and new, but that £500 damage fee REGARDLESS OF DAMAGE HOWEVER SMALL is a nightmare.

It makes your trackday quite expensive - think it all works out at c.£500 when you add cost of day, bike hire - travel to circuit plus food, photo and maybe hotel night before etc.

It makes the '£200 all in' that the trail bike places charge for a day look good value but very different set up for each

Another thumbs up for smallboys track bike hire, used them a couple of times and well impressed. Forget Focussed Events for hiring.
