I know it's not a blade or even a Honda, but I've been busy in the man cave with the Kwak.
The first track day is the 15th so thought I'd get ready :) image.jpg

Well you did ask so here it is.
Purchased in November, cat c, cosmetic damage only, 1999, 22k, full service history. Was going to put it on the track as is, but then I remembered I had a radial brembo master cylinder from my GSXR 1000.
This was going to be about it as I had promised the missis that it was going to be 'cheap'. However to get the M-C on I had to change the throttle and switch gear. The switch gear had no light switch so that I thought " mmm let's lose the light", as I took that out- it weighed a ton, so I decided the bike was going on a diet. Hence the rear end went - which explains the fibreglass race seat that you now see.
The end can was standard and slightly damaged, so I was going to replace this - and whilst scouring eBay I dropped upon a full akra system :) and the chap also had a ohlin's rear shock for sale, which of course I needed too.
The front forks & brakes have been re-built to finish the build off. That was going to be it, no really it was.
Then I realised I needed spare wheels for wets, and that meant spare disks, and that's when I found black shadow selling wavy disks at a v good price.
Somewhere along this journey the penny dropped I would need a trailer to get it to the track - it being not taxed or insured. My hours of surfing paid off and I found one for 2 bikes - thinking future... This has now been modified to carry all the extra wheels, jerry can, paddock stands, and tyre warmers, thank god I have a mate that's a welder:)
So all in all £800 for the bike, same again for the parts, another £400 for the trailer, plus a spare £300 for the tow bar that had to be fitted to the car.
I'm thinking bargain, we'll that's what I'm telling her in doors.

Will see how it goes up against my shed of a blade which to be honest is prob. worth less than Andy has spent on that bike, parts, trailer and tow bar!
