I'm considering buying a dedicated Track Bike to remove the temptation of using my 13 Plate Blade!

What has occured to me is do Peeps insure their Track Bikes for theft whilst stored in their Garages at home between Track Days?

If so is this sumat you can tag on to a road bike policy or is it best to have a stand alone policy that won't effect your Road Bike's policy?

Mine is my new blade so insured . If you buy a track bike cat b etc with no v5 you can still insure on house insurance buddy hard and long winded to explain but can be done . Might aswell look with one with a v5 so you can insure it easily just third party fire and theft

If your track Nike was stolen and has no mot or tax the insurance company may not be too happy if they thought they were covering a vehicle in road worthy condition?

On the one hand that is what I'm trying to avoid!
The scenario of my 'Tracker' getting robbed and thus effecting my Road Bikes insurance.

In reality if 'Scum' broke in to my fortified Garage and robbed me 'Tracker' I doubt they'd leave the Road Blade behind anyway! :(

Maybe I just don't bother at all! ???

Mmm... I think it would affect your road bike insurance anyway. Doesn't the question usually ask if you've had any claims on any other policy?

If you're only paying 2-3k for the tracker would it be worth ever claiming for a theft as it seems you'd be paying out the difference on premiums in the long run.....
