Out of interest weighing up my options, what end can do people use on track days? Looking into getting one if I keep the blade.

    Cheers Dan

Arrow, Scorpian, Yoshi and Akrapovic seem the most popular with the Track Dayers

As a sound tester I would say the best cans for sound is always an Akra. :D

Having said that though stay clear or the Carbon Akras!

Last time out at Oulton they had to red flag a session because the whole end piece of the can flew out of a bike on the main straight and bounced down the track.

The bike it came off was in the next garage and when we all had a look it's actually very poorly constructed and fitted considering the Carbon is so flimsy and weak right at any cut ends.

Best stick with the Stainless version, a much better made Can

I'd not worry too much Daz, Carbon Cans in general are just the same construction underneath as the other models but have a Carbon outer sleeve.

It's the riveting of the end piece right at the end of the sleeve in 2 or 3 places only that looks cause for concern and then only on a Track Bike as they spend their time at max revs most of their lives.

Maybe this was an isolated instance but all those who inspected afterwards agreed that it wasn't that surprising the end cap had blown out looking at how flimsy the attachment is.

Cheers for that sinewaves.. I'll inspect it when it arrives. I've had a few akros in the past and never really been concerned about build quality..sounds like one that shouldn't of passed quality control. I think your right with the presumption of it happening as it was on track.. Guess they will be under a lot more pressure at full chat.. The termignoni is a a well made thing.impressive. Cheers for the feedback ;)

I'd sleep easy Daz, loads of peeps with Blades use Carbon Akras with no trouble.

My hastily written reply earlier was not meant to be alarmest in any way, just an observation.

You're not Tracking your Blade anyway are you?

I'll probably do a trackday or 2 on her I'd of thought. Oulton a local to me so will like a blast round once I've got the hm shifter on. Just sold my 600rr trackbike at the end of the summer to finish paying the wedding off. Got straight now so been looking for something else. Fancy a blade tbh but concerned it may be more power than I need. Should of kept my 600rr. It was a well built thing with lots of nice bits. How do you find your 10r on track
