Got a set of Dunlop 211gp racers enduro rear medium front
Been well pleased with these as track tyres and have had 6/7 track days out of them on the warmers or on track all day never cooled down They are well worn but have held shape brilliantly and have a least 1 more track day before they are on wear markers Think well set up Ktech front and rear has helped.

Someone at the track reconned you should bin any rubber after 5 track days or heat cycles as the rubber will be gone off. Last time out they felt just as soft and sticky to touch when warm and didn't step or spin up even with quick action throttle and 1 down front and 2 up gearing at back.

Dont you just hate it when someone sows a seed of doubt in your head, can anyone give me some advise re tyre heat cycles
    thanks

They'll be fine if they aren't losing grip
No way could I get five days out of one set tho

6/7 trackdays! Jesus... They must be super hard compound! I'd say you should know when there going off as your going to get the occasional slide! Also heat cycling with warmers should have no detrimental effect on them going off.

I'd been using the same tyres for four race meetings ( 2 x 20min practice Friday, 15 min practice & 20min Qual, 15min Practice & 25 min race) and they were 190/55. I put the tyre warmers on ~ 45min before practice and kept them on all day ( apart from when I was out on the bike ofcourse).

For the 5th race meeting I swapped to 200/60 for 15min Practice, 20min Qual and 25min race and I also ( at the advice of an experienced racer) dropped a gear in 10 of 13 corners than what I was previously doing. after those two changes m lap times dropped from the 1:57's to 1:53's. Unfortunately it looks as though the 200/60 will only last one more race meeting !

Obviously not a like-for like comparison with a few variables thrown in, but I feel that it's best to try to keep the tyres at the same temp all day.

    *Pirelli SC2 Slicks btw

I use 211's on my R6, soft front, medium rear, i get 3 trackdays out of them, 4 days and they start to move about a bit to much for my liking
