    Afternoon Guys,

I've fitted a set of Metzeler M7RR last weekend, managed to cover only 100miles, so I'm not in the postion to comment 'how good they are'. But... I've just booked a trackday at Rockingham, so I was wondering if anyone knows what tyre pressure would be best for those tyres? My previous Dunlop D211 GP Racers loved reeaaaallly low presure at the rear, so I'm bit lost here...

Anyone did a trackday on M7RRs, or heard any opinions?
    Thanks!

Have a look at this Peter. It doesn't show the M7RR tyres but I would try the road pressures detailed at the bottom. Also if you're going to Rockingham, this tyre guy is usually there so you could ask him yourself.

    Hope it helps. image.jpg

Thank you Nigel! It is indeed very helpful.
I'll definitely asked the guy for the opinion on M7RRs, my gut-feeling is that 27-28PSI cold should be be fine.

Use the same pressures as the Racetec Interacts

27 Rear 32 Front both measured Hot straight after your first session.

If you set your Rear at 27 Cold it'll be nigh on 35psi when Hot so far too high.

Ran a RR yesterday at Darley Moor, nigh on as good as my Pirelli Superbike Slicks imho.

UI'd be a bit nervous of using same pressures sine wave as the m7 are totally different from the RR? But agreed does seem to high...

But depends on what pace your running, temps on the day etc etc....

The RR's are bloody good though ain't they ;)

And you have been right Sinewave!

I've asked the tyre guy at Rockingham about the pressure for M7RR and he advised 30-34psi (Hot), so I set 34front/32rear. But I wasn't happy. Maybe because the tyres were new (so I knew that the edges would be bit slippery) or maybe it was just the confidence issue (I always used D211/212 for trackdays), but I wasn't confident to carry a higher speed throught the corners and/or open the throttle fully at the exit. BUT after lunch I was advised by the guy from the fast group to lower the pressure to 27psi rear (hot) and 30-32psi front... and my God, it did transfor the bike!

So, if anyone is looking for the pressure for M7RRs for the trackday, it is (hot) 27 rear, 30-32 front.

Depends on your pace... the M7's are good up to around lower end of fast group / top of inters.
