Thinking about buying a translogic quickshifter after reading up they’re generally the best but I was going for the is4 until I’ve just seen on they’re website new for 2021 is the qsxi? Am I better off forking out for this latest model or are they the same thing!!
It’s a good question. My guess is that the qsxi is the latest model and probably supersedes the is4. If in doubt fire an email off to Translogic and get them to clarify. If it’s as least as good as the is4 then it’ll be worth it.
few sellers on ebay actually offer them both around the same price and cheaper than direct from translogic, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323702854177?hash=item4b5e319221:g:ldAAAOSwga1gQOx7
Looks like it's just a superseded model. It seems they've changed the way you adjust settings on it from software to manual adjusters. Little bit irrelevant for a road only user as they are supposedly "intelligent" and they adjust themselves to provide the best kill times etc. Mine is the is4 and its completely fine out of the box, doubt I'll ever feel the need to play with the settings. If they're the same price then I'd get the latest one, if there's a saving to be made perhaps just get the last gen model.
I have the QSXi fitted. Cannot compare it to the is4 but can say that it works great out of the box. Got mine from HPS bikehps.com. Great service
Cheers guys what’s a decent price to be paying for a second hand is4 as I’ve seen a few but if its not much more for the superseded new model I’ll go for that! Can you fit a blipper to them too as I plan on getting a 17-19 blade soon so want to take it off and fit it to one of those with blipper capability!
Think translogic sell downshift/blipper modules separately. If you're interested in a 17-19 Fireblade you might be better off finding one with the Honda QS already fitted.
Seen one of these cheap, are they the same as the translogic quickshifters, they look the same and I’m sure I’ve read in past translogic actually make dynojets quickshifters for them!
