Transponder for Racing

    Looking ahead to next years Racing and a few things I need to do

    I need a transponder whats the best one to get?

    There is only one you can use, which is the AMB260. They are about £350 new, not that much less second hand. I hire mine from the clubs I race with. Probably the slightly more expensive option in the long run, but if you have a problem with them, you simply hand it back to the club and get a new one for the weekend.

    Well the good thing is I already own a tourer caravan and awning .:D

    you'll pick a good one up for 2-250 2nd hand,good thing is,after 2,3 or 4 yrs racing,as long as it still holds 4 days charge you''l get that back.

    keep an eye on motoforum,they do come up a bit,but sell just as quick.

    i was lucky,bought a virtually new 1 for 185,and sold 2yrs later for 250 :)

    So - now you need a van to tow the caravan (to put the bike in) , unless you cut the back off the back of the caravan to add a loading ramp (its been done, trust me) to transport bike in caravan.

    Yup I saw one at Snetterton that had a roller shutter grafted onto the back of his caravan :p

    That would take some explaining to the mrs when she rolls up in abersoch where we keep the caravan and there is a big feck of hole in the caravan. :D
