Boring I know, but anyone have any recommendations for a trickle charger? This is the first winter I am laying my bike up so need to look after the battery! Thanks in advance.

Ah this looks perfect - read some reviews and it looks like this is just the ticket. Thanks mate. Will drop Andy a note.

    +1 for optimate

Let my battery completley die by leaving the sat nav on the bike for 3 weeks. Optimate brought it back to life.

I got an Oxford one when I subscribed to a mag many years ago and it has done me well so far. If I was parting with beer tokens I would go for an Optimate.

+1 for Optimate. Can get some natty little accessories for it too. I have the USB charger adapter so I can charge my phone whilst on the move, without the need for wiring a separate lead directly to the battery.

Yeah the Optimate 4 is a great bit of kit it has the edge over the Oxford stuff.

Normally I use Optimates but the local supplier (Hunters Newcastle) have stopped selling them. I bought the Oxford product, its cheaper but not as good quality. The cables arent long enough and it just feels too light. Cant say its caused me any problems though. the light up LCD screen is pretty cool.

Agree the build of the optimate is better, although I can charge the car battery with oxford 3600. I seem to sell more oxford chargers that the optimates. But that's usually down to stock.
