hi all, on both my 08 and now 14 plate blade I've always had issues getting the seat release fairing panel back on.

Getting them off is easy but getting them back on securely is tricky. The tab on the fuel tank cover never latches onto the fairing panel securely leaving a gap in the panels.

Is there a trick to this I'm missing?

Insert the tab under the tank first then press the panel into its holder, simples;)

Yeah, and that panel/tab should be inserted at the front with the panel at something like 45 degrees to the bike to get it to locate fully in.

I always found one side went in easier than the other, had to angle it right and rotate just to get tab to locate.

I have the opposite issue: due to a seat cover getting hold of the plastic is a nightmare without flexing it slightly to get a finger behind it.

Going on has always been easy. Always thread the tab through first then slide it under the seat. Easy :D

Have the panel sticking out at 90 degrees and connect the tab on the tank first, then pivot back into place. Should be easy then...
