Hi all, Just got back from a fabulous 9 day trip around Scotland. 1968 miles in all, and loved every minute of it. Just about did the whole perimeter of Scotland, plus the Isles of Bute, Skye and Mull. Can't wait to do it again!
Photos and petrol receipts countersigned by an MP, commissioned officer or minister of religion. Evidence, man! Or do you come from the Dave/Jimbo school of travel journalism?
Hopefully by next year I'll have learnt the ancient art of packing lightly. Having said that the Ventura kit was great. Weather was fantastic every day so didn't get to test the waterproof cover - looks ok though. Even the flying piranhas (midges) weren't too bad. Truly fantastic place.
Did you run out of electricity in Moffat today at about 10:00 ? If it was not you it was your double!
I was parked up in centre by fountain about to have a run round the borders - I think this is the first ' random spot of another member out and about' - Was on black blade with white wheels and ventura bag - see trip report I've just put up.
We'd come down from Inverary. There are some lovely roads around there. The A819 is a little gem and one of my favourites now. I still can't get over the coincidence of crossing paths like that. Pity we didn't have chance to stop for a chat and discuss the many merits of the Ventura luggage.
