Been looking out one for a mate of mine and seen this..... Anyone had major servicing at 2900 ?? as im not sure of service details any advice would be appreciated •2009 •Super Sports •4800 miles . Excellent bike with low millage and in great condition. Never ridden in the wet and cleaned after every ride. Mot and tax until the end of June. Genuine Triumph span adjustable black aluminum levers and paddock stand bobbins.Hard wired optimate connection for easy battery maintenance.Given a major service at 2900 miles. A brilliant example of this great British Sports bike.
Having had 3 Daytona's myself I can tell you that a major service is only carried out at 12k miles or 2 years whichever comes first given that it's only clocked 4800 I would say it's hardly been used. Absolutely top bikes well up to the 2012 they are the 2013 onwards look like the bastard child of elephant man and dumbo but that's just my personal viewpoint on it. Service intervals are every 6k and they need the valves checking every 12k on those so 6k miles and 18k miles are small services 12k and 24k are big services and so on.. Hope that helps you buddy.
I have had a speed four and a speed triple. Cant remember the mileage, some differ, but to give you a rough idea. Small service = £150 ish medium service = £320 ish Large service = £600 ish
ex Street Triple R owner. The 6k service wasn't shocking and I did it after a year of ownership I hit 12k before 2 years but didn't get the valve clearances done as they were so shockingly expensive. Sold it after 3 and a bit years, only serviced at Triumph once, oil and filters done by me after that
