    hey peoples,
looking for some knowledge as im new to these litre bikes

currently running bt015's on my 11 blade, havent had a real blast on them as such but want
to know peoples opinions of them,

and what the best tyres are for the blade, will be fast road / few track days but also the odd commute on a wet day,
    so duel compound,

i used to use pilot road 3's on my old bikes or 016 pros when on the track,

any info reviews would be greatly recieved :) :D

Personal choice but most of the top brands are good, splitting hairs between most of them. Some have a stiffer carcass than others like the bridgstone tend to be so give a different feel. Some like the really sticky tyres some like the harder wearing sports or sports touring type tyres.

I have been running Dunlop Sportsmarts and have got nearly 5k miles out of the set and done a couple of track days, commute in wet too and I have been happy with them. Will put the updated sportsmart² or Metzeler's new M7rr on next. The Bridgestones that came with the blade BT015 I think did not make it past 2k miles

yeah my old man runs a set of dunlop sport smarts or something like them on his 10r and has had plenty of miles out of them and still got plenty off life ,
i like something that gives good feedback so a softer tyre is normally my choice, once ive killed these 015's which i dont think will take me long i might try some sports smart2's or a set of michilin power 3's as they get good reviews

Try a taller rear profile 190/55/17 instead of 190/50/17. Tips in a bit quicker but also gives you a slightly larger contact patch when lent over, lots of people running these on 1000's now.

Hi, I am going to put Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa on my 2009 blade, next. My riding is done only in the dry...they are excellent by all accounts.
In the past I have had Dunlop, Michelin and Bridgestone's; they all seemed good to me.

Sounds good, might end up with a spare set of wheels and just have some tyres for dry days and track will go for some supercorsas or something along those lines
But as for road riding I do need something that's still half decent in the wet still

Hi, I'm currently running 2ct's on my 11 blade at the mo, but when the warmer weather finally arrives I will probably go for the Diablo Rossos. As Brym says try the 190/55 rear..... It feels much better than the standard 190/50

I don't do track days on my blade and I run the BT23. Fantastic tyre and lasts for ages!

Agreed The DRC's are my preferred sportbike tyre for road and track. If it was more track than public terrain I'd go the Supercorsa. Be sure to move to the 190/55 rear too!

Does going to a 55 have any impact on insurance?...being not the recommended tyre size.

It's listed as a recommended tyre size by Honda I checked with dealer ages ago so no issues as far as I can tell :)

I m on my second pair of rosso corsa s and have always used pirelli s but don t like them as much as the corsa 3 s which had more feel were more confidence inspiring and lasted longer ive heard the carcass s are softer on the newer generation tyres which can cause more movement on the walls all comes down to personal preference again eh have tried a 55 too an it does make a difference in turning in great on track
