So come on let's have some feedback Brands ,price ,mileage, size/profile, ,,,,,,,, I need a new set soon , I've been running Bridgestone battlax bt016 pro's, get just over 3000 miles out of a rear , about £190 fitted on loose wheels . Have been happy with them , would like a bit more mileage out of them but that might be down to my riding style
BT021 on mine as it came with a new set. I’m a michelin lover but I can’t complain with these. Had a puncture in the rear last year 1st one ever so instead of swapping both out I took the opportunity to put the 55 profile on and what a difference! Turns in quicker and feels better all round. When I replace these it’ll be with pilots and keep the 55
55 profile, Metzeler Racetec RR at the minute. Great dry road/ track tyre, wouldnt want to do much in the wet but that is where the M7rr or M9rr come in as a great all rounder. I love the fact Metzeler are the only motorcycle only tyre manufacturer, albeit a sister to Pirelli. I'm sure Metz and Translogic owe me some sort of kickback
But on a serious note, I’ve tried a few, dual compound bridge stones were my favourite - can’t remember what they were as was 10 years ago.
Still on my first set with the blade - Michelin Pilot Road 4. Through the winter they were brilliant. 2200 miles so far(over half of which were in the rain/sleet) and they're barely worn. ...and holding their shape well, even though a lot of those miles were motorway ones so they'd have every right to be squaring off. Heat up quick on cold mornings too. Scratchers they are not. Haven't actually done anything wrong - they just don't inspire any confidence. Since the weather's got better I've been toying with picking up another set of wheels and fitting them with something a little sportier, sticking these aside and bunging them back on come october or thereabouts.
Metzelers m7rr for you Mark, I know you like a bit of wet weather riding and these are great all round tyres! If you want something a little sportier..... Pirelli diablo supercorsa!! (Metzelers racetec are similar too)
Another vote for Metzler M7rr. Normally a Bridgestone person but am happy with the choice I made about trying the Metzlers after reading a lot of good reviews about them. Won't do Michelin due to some previous bad experience with their car tyres, and I find their tread pattern ugly
Dunlop, even the OE ones that came standard on the Fireblade were all right I thought I can't think that I have ever put on a set of Dunlops and thought afterwards that it was a mistake. Saying that I am looking forward to trying the new Metzeler M9RR
I have been looking at a pair of Bridgestone S21,s but the feed back on the Metz m7rr sounds good as well ,,,,,,,,,
Had supercorsa’s and rosso 3’s the former were epic in the dry absolute death traps in sketchy conditions the rosso 3’s were good all rounders but nothing special I now run Bridgestone S22’s and what a tyre heat up quick loads of feedback an absolutely epic front end loads of grip best tyres I’ve had By a mile
Haven’t got a clue mate, she’s under the covers, I want to say Michelin road sports 4? They have a pretty tread pattern that’s all I know. I’ll be trying the metzlers next I think

I’ve been using Michelin Power RS for the last couple of years. Great all rounder, when I put them on at first the wet and dry grip was confidence inspiring. First thing I noticed was how quick it turned and that wasn’t just because it was new tyres, and also the stability under heavy braking. I was going to give Metzler’s a go at some point, but as I didn’t use the bike as much as I was planning last year I still have a fresh set of Power RS to get through. Anyone tried the M9RR’s yet?
