This will help - you still need to go to booth to show tag but no fumbling for cash etc. https://www.saneftolling.co.uk/ 4.4. I’ve got a motorcycle? You can use a Liber-t tag with a motorcycle with some limitations, the main one being that to avoid being charged as Class 1 vehicle you must use the manual lane and hand over the tag to the person in the toll booth. They will use a barcode scanner to read the tag and will charge you as a Class 5 vehicle. The main advantage is that it saves you fumbling for cash / payment cards with gloves on but you should not use the automated lanes.
I'd seen this but really didn't think it would be worth it seeing as you still have to hand the tag over to the attendant at the manual booth so there'll be no real advantage to me. I have a small bagster tank bag with a pocket on the back which is ideal for toll cash & tickets, served me well since 2005.
If you pay with your debit card it is an instant transaction and you can do it without taking your gloves off if the card is in the right place on your tank bag. That's what I do now......it's much easier and quicker than mucking about with cash!
