Hi Everyone. Didnt make it to the nec on sunday, had an unxpected appointment with a flooded kitchen due to a mouse chewing through the inlet pipe, outet pipe and powercable on the dishwasher. No sign of the f*%">g mouse ! what did I miss ? is it worth swopping my 2011 ABS blade for a 2012 in the spring or what about the Panigale, i think that might be love at first sight form the vids and write ups. Even if a bit hard on the pocket. Wanted to get an Abba superbike lift and hoped I could get a deal at the show, had to order on the tinternet last night instead as i want to tuck the toy away next weekend for the winter. £106.90 inc F'blade fittings and delivery didnt seem to bad direct from Abba. That mouse is dead meat !
As with all new Ducati's, wait till the 2nd year of production before you buy, all the niggles & faults have been found then. Saying that, it isnt ALL that, it will still be slower than a Fireblade, sound like a tractor and be as unreliable as a Lancia.
Spot on advice there Craig by the second year Ducati will have tracked down all the bugs. Then they'll put them in the next bike.
I never got to the bike show either, but nothing to do with vermin. Hope this makes you feel a little better
I feckin hate mice! Dirty , smelly little bastards!!! You got a better than show price on the ABBA mate!
Its not a mouse ! its a F'ing rat ! I have seen the mess, thats no mouse shit ! Living in the outback of the Fens and keeping chickens we are used to having a rat problem in the winter outside but never in the cottage. I have a rifle with night scope and have spend many an hour shivering in the cold, hidden in a hide popping them off back to their makers. We have no idea how its got in and seems to be living in the roof space as we have heard it, climbing down inside one of the internal walls we think. We now have huge rat traps, we have plates of rat killer , we even have a sticky pads. Interesting thing is its seems to be very good at the long jump and can get the food off the trap without setting it off but i have a thumb like a blind cobblers from trying to set them. Clever little bugger but its day are numbered we hope.
