I am soon to go on a trip to northern Spain and as I prepare for my first bike trip abroad I have come across conflicting information regarding the use of bluetooth headsets and intercom in Spain. I use the speakers fitted inside my helmet not wired earbuds, listen to music bluetoothed from my phone and communicate with other riders. Can i use this in Spain or not?
I went to Spain in the bike 2016 and we used scalas. We didn't have a problem. A mate of mine has warned about making sure you have a GB sticker on the back. Apparently two of their pack got fined for not having them.
Think speakers in the helmet are ok, but earphones i.e. things stuffed in your ears are not allowed. Where and when are you in Spain, am there myself late July.
Sail Portsmouth to Santander on Good Friday, ride northern Spain before making our way to Barcelona for 3 days rides from there and then back to Santander the following Saturday.
