    Evening all,

    Happy New Year..

I'm in need of some valuation help please, as my bike is almost ready for sale (putting as much back to standard as possible, to sell my aftermarket bits separately)

It's a 2008 '57 plate with 19.5k, FHSH, Black Fairings, Black Wheels and Gold//Bronze Casings, fairly standard, with one or two little extras, which will have to remain.

Autotrader bikes are hovering around the £5200 mark. Seems a tad high to me.

I've contacted WBAB who are waiting on pictures before offering their price.

Is anyone able to tell me what the book price is, or what is a reasonable price at all, before I create my advert.

My wife & I are expecting our 1st child in May, so bike has to go unfortunately.

    Thanks very much

    Wayne.

What has having a baby got to do with selling your fireblade!? Haha. Congratulations Wayne.

    Congrats!

I bought an rr8 privately with 27k miles last summer for 4600. It needed valves, plugs and suspension doing if that's any help. The guy I bought it from said he was offered 4k px, that was from motorcycles direct I think.

I had been searching for about 4 months prior to actually buying one beginning of dec, so have a rough idea, although prices seem to vary so much.

I reckon circa £5k is about right in my opinion

    Thanks Charlie.

That's good to know. Mine is due the valve service, and I'm not having it done. Partly because it sounds fine and partly because I'll price it with this mind.

Cheers for this. I was thinking around 4500 to take 4 originally. Perhaps I was thinking too low after this.

I'm figuring it would be too difficult to fit this:

I'm thinking your ball park is right for private/trade sale - you can buy private 12 plates for early £6's now with <20k miles so I would say a 57 plate would be as you thought around 4-4.5k

Haha, if I ever saw a blade with one of these, I'd be impressed...

Well, WBAB have offered me £3500, but that's before they come and view it I spose. I'll keep an eye on the autotrader and price it at an attractive price.

Just need to photograph all my aftermarket bits now and add them to the forum too.

Is it an RR8? Dependant on what condition it’s in I wouldn’t go lower than £4.5k private. Guess it depends how fast you want to sell it.

Thanks Nigel. It is an RR8 and in very good condition for it's age. Not desperate to sell it so can wait for the right offer.

Morning, yes I still have the bike, haven't got around to advertising it or sorting pictures out yet. Been way too cold of late. I'm hopeful it'll be ready for sale by start of March, once I've tidied a few bits on it.

    Thanks
