    Hi guys.
Anyone know what thickness shims are mainly used in the factory?
Was thinking about shim kits and I'm sure I don't need a kit ranging from 1.2mm to 3.5mm. I'd prefer to buy more of the usable sizes.
    Many thanks.

If I read the mechanics infor correctly for my RR8 valve clearance @ 16000, the shimes went from 1.83 to 2.04 (mm??)
In my case, they were all too tight!!

    Thanks guys much appreciated.
Bonjo that confirms my thoughts I shall stock up with 5 of each of the 6 sizes from 1.55mm to 1.85mm.
Hopefully I'll be able to have the cams out and in the same day. Better when it fresh in my head.
    Many thanks broadie

you might want to replace the spark plugs while you are at it. I had mine changed at the 16k valve service to save some money
