    Hi,

Does anyone use the Ventura luggage system on an rr5 blade?? If so could you do me a favour and measure the distance between the two prongs that stick up for you to attach the different fixings (rack/handle etc) to please?? Or measure the width of the grab rail please??

I ask as I bought a bargain Ventura sports rack off the bay 20 quid and it looks way too wide for the blade. I haven't got the L brackets yet so have no way of telling

    Thanks for any help

    Nick

Heres the best i can do with the fitting instructions for the L brackets

1 remove seats and rear body

2 Remove and retain the plastic heat shield/cover from the rider footpeg to the pillion footpeg castingnon the right hand side

3 Remove and retain the allenhead bolts from the rear subframe to pillion footpeg casting. Replace the forward bolts after placing the M8 x 22 x 3.0 flat washers between the casting and the frame. leave loose

4 Remove the two downward pointing rear luggage securing hooks, the L-Bracket rear mounts secure at these points using the original bolts

5 Fit the 18 x 40mm piece of foam tape supplied to the outside of the forward flat mount on the right hand L-Bracket to prevent marking the rear brake master cylinder.

6 the forward L-Bracket flat mounts fit between the rear subframe and the pillion footpeg mount castings at the rearmost holes. Secure using the original bolts. Leave loose.

7 Fit pack-rack or sport-rack into the L-Brackets, ensure the rack is level and tighten the mounting bolts.

    8 Refit body and seats

I have the system fitted to a RR4 which is the same as the RR5. I love the system when riding on your own the bag sits on the seat keeping the watt forward then when you wont to have a passenger you can turn the bag around which you can't with a tail pack
