Have a new repsol, and was thinking of venture Shield..

    Does the stuff work?

Is it easy to apply or should I get someone to apply it?

Is it the full bike or just the front end that it goes on?

Any recommendations? Around the London / Essex area..

What kind of costs am I looking at?

    Thanks

You would be looking at roughly £150 for kit and fitted and about £90 just for kit well worth it have had it in all my bikes in the last few years

If you have never fitted it before I would leave it to someone who has.
I have seen loads of people who have ended up making a balls up and having to order other pieces after trying to fit it themselves.

I have done quite a few now and some bits are a challenge

Had mine done by Paintshield in Waterloovile, though he does mobile. Highly recommend not doing it yourself !

I've done 3 bikes now - R1 nosecone was the hardest shape by far.

My biggest suggestion for anyone to to fit it is to really take your time, and maybe do it in 2 stints.

Did the Urban Tiger as the aftermarket paint is awesome - the only piece I got a few air bubbles in was the easiest (tail unit) and that was also the final piece I did.

The Blade kit is pretty easy but for the £ to fit if you have a brand new bike I'd say pay an installer.

If anyone is up north I recommend Invisible Patterns Near Warrington

Done a few now ... It's a pain in ass. For the difference of £90 get someone else to do it is my advice!

After a few trips out with others it's so easy to get stone chips whatever speed you go.

It's a must have in my mind !!!

I fitted mine as I like a challenge and it is too, have done car graphics before so not a complete novice but it's hard to get perfect, took ages.

Definitely agree get in done professionally, I replaced a bit myself that was damaged what a sh*** job to do. You think ahh that's easy but trying to get it level and then curve into place without leaving finger prints on it:mad:

I've got plenty of stone chips on mine ... Areas not covered by ventureshield ... On the 08-11 blade the area under the CBR badge gets hammered ... Big mistake on ventureshield's part not to include a piece for this area!

Only got around 400 miles on mine, weather being crap and son revising for exams has kept me busy.
The Akra exhaust screams, it is so loud. Bike is great though but I would still change it for a Panigale if I could afford it.

My mistake, I meant Paintguard in Waterloovile. From memory it was around £200. Sorry.
