Just thought you may like to see what this absolutely fantastic stuff can do. It's called Quixx scratch remover. I still can not beleive what this stuff does. It has been sitting in my garage for about 18 months and only last weekend did I decide I was gonna see what it could do. Well really the proof is in the pudding. Never before have I come across a product that I truly beleive in as much as this. (think I should be a salesman for them) Few pics of the before and after can and an area on the seat unit where I used the p2500 wet and dry first to remove a scratch. Yes I was touching cloth after using the paper but the 'more special than white wee wee' cream brought it back to showroom condition.
I presume it is like a laquer once dried, keep an eye on the exhaust when it heats back up as it may not be resitant to the high temps
Found it on the shelf in a local independant and well established dealer in Norwich. £4.80 My mate has just bought some off the interwonderwebb for little over £6 so still exceptional value.
3m finishing compound gives similar results, I use it for defects in my paintwork, and its really cheap.
No its just a very good rubbing compound which you then finish off with a polish. I tried it on a clear perspex screen which was ageing and it came up like clean glass, you could see how it had removed all the years of tiny scratches which leave perspex with that kinda misty look.
also good for cars with the new style plastic headlight covers, hit them with a buff then the compound and they come out like new.
It sounds like cutting compound, i have a few of them from Meguires to Kent and Menzerna, they all do the same thing but in a slightly different way.
Used 3M Finesse some years ago but sadly ran over the nearly empty black bottle it was back then. Not found an alternative until now. Farecla have one called paint renovator and guess what, it is exactly the same as 3m finesse. It smells the same looks the same and performs the same.ABSOLUTELY brilliant on dark colours etc.I sell 19 different branded polishes and none of them including Meguires come anywhere near that Farecla Paint renovator.I sell the Farecla over any other polish because the feedback from my customers says it all. There are very few 3m specialist factors out there so you must have been lucky and found one near you.
Pinched a bottle when I was valeting for BMW which since ran out also picked some up from ebay, lasts ages.
I use menzerna stages, awesome stuff. Ideally used with a machine polisher. http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/menzerna-250ml-polish-sample-kit.php?manufacturers_id=49
