VFR 400.......project bike ?

    Got a opportunity to buy a VFR400 (NC30) ?? single sided...... US import........anyone got one ? hints and tips please.....its giveaway money at just a few hundred quid...... ? currently in a horrible gold colour ? not been run in years
    just wondered if they have any decent kerb appeal...... Jimbo haven't you got one ??

    Not sure Martin.......going to have a good look tonight will take some mug shots and look at the options...... its currently sat (last 2 yrs) under a tarpaulin about a mile from me !!

    I have a friend who is looking for one he can afford for ages as the SRAD I gave him he can hardly touch the floor on (short arse)
    So could have a buyer lined up for you lol

    I do indeed mate, had it years, and even the imports are getting good money these days....

    If you do get it and restore it you won't sell it trust me, lovely little things and you'd be suprised how well it goes.

    Things to look out for is they can often be abused and not cared for (generally owned by younger punks with little money like I was) rear shock will need doing or replacing as these deteriate quite bad, exhaust / headers can corrode.... Other than that nothing out the ordinary for a bike it's age.

    IMO - I'd get is anyway.

    And if you do nothing with it, ill have it for spares lol ;)

    Not bad for a 20 year old bike! ;) still one of the best looking bikes ever IMO....

    I stand corrected................I ve just five mins ago had some pics sent..... I think its a NC24 ?? 1988 ish ? will see it tonight in the flesh....

    Have been looking for a decent NC30 for a wee while now too, as a project, and to get more into the mechanical side of things.
    Still looking.
    Couple I did go to see looked nice, but had clearly been flipped when you looked a bit closer, so declined for the money they were looking for.

    should never have sold me SP1......... need a classic for the collection.......and something to tweak on occasions !!!!

    I have always regretted selling my RGV 250 plus I sold it for 5-6 times less than what they go for now :(

    Twas a pile of poo......at four hundred sobs not sure..... it runs and would pass a mot..... this version looks dated and in gold looked awful.......

    I wouldn't bother with an NC24, NC30 is brilliant, fairings/bolts made of cheese but amazing fun to ride! This was mine:
