Hi I have moved from a CBR600RR to a 2014 ABS Blade - Im still adapting! One thing I notice and not sure if its normal is at @ 4-4,500 revs I get a really strong resonance or vibration noise, above 4,500 it fades, but may just being left behind in the wind...

Is this normal? A feature of the exhaust servo maybe? I tried to damp what could be vibration of fairing etc but no luck. Its seems fairly speed independent and related to the engine revs.

    Any advice appreciated, Rgds Landy

It's probably the inlet flapper opening, gives a nice booming induction noise.

The exhaust valve opens around 4000 ish rpm, mines the same. I've put acky can on my 14 plate and left cable off the exhaust so it's open all the time

ON the RR8, the exhaust silencer has two valves, ECV which opens above 3000rpm and changes the sound from the exhaust and EGBV 7~8krpm.
Chance are RR14 has similar internals.
I do get some vibs at 4000rpm but not resonance. This is not always there. Check/ lube your chain. Spin you rear wheel to see if the pads rub against the disc.
