Friggin' profiteerers. I don't mind a private seller asking over the odds prices because we can generally negotiate with them. But this dealer is just out of order. This should be a £10,000 MAX bike (in my view).

But prices take a strange turn. I see there's VTR SP2s now advertised for up to £18,995: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Sp...675467?hash=item1a7962eacb:g:dvMAAOSwHglcRdPI

Bloody hell. What the heck is going on with these?

No way in hell I would pay the price of a new liter bike today, for a 12 year old bike

Ah, but you're not buying a 12-year-old bike - you're buying a slice of history!:)

Fair enough point though, but the buyers of these bikes would not be tossing up between it and a current model. It's collectors' stuff, and vendors know they can put whatever damn price they like on them and mugs like myself will often cough up.

So what price on history? Bottomless pit.
