Right then forum dwellers! Somehow Ive managed to book the Annual Zipster family Holiday to Wales....In a tent! I went to Wales as a nipper, but Im an old fart now so I'm hoping that any of you people that live/work/visit there can give me some survival tips and days out. We have the budget of a homeless person, a ten yr old son to keep amused along with his mum and an old fart that can't walk more than a mile without needing resuscitation! (me) We are staying at Plwmp which is appropriate considering my weight! any info or piss taking gratefully received. At the risk of offending the welsh forum(ites), Ive already got some good wellies for putting the sheeps back legs in so my night life is sorted Cheers and if any of you have any voodoo or black magic to keep the rain away, were going Next Saturday (23rd)
Went to Tenby as a kid if I remember correctly it only rained twice 1st week and 2nd week!! Good luck.

Used to get sent to Wales on adventure training. We went hill walking, it rained. We did rock climbing, it rained. We did canoeing, it rained. Should go and finish the job that Offa started,
As a "native" living in one of the wettest parts of europe, bring your waterproof coat and hopefully you've got a good quality waterproof tent. All you guys living in the South and South east don't know how lucky you are weather wise, but on the occasional dry day the roads in South/Mid Wales are Superb and relatively quiet. PS forgot to mention no need for the sun block/factor cream.
Cheers Dave so Im guessing I should leave my shorts and string vest at home and buy some wellies?! why oh why didn't i buy passports for all of us and go and buy knock offs from turkey? lol
Turkey sounds like the better option to me zipster, sunshine today and knowing the sun will shine again tomorrow.
My parents used to have a holiday home in Abersoch. My brother and I spent many a holiday in doors bored to tears doing jigsaw puzzles. Although I do seem to recall some wonderful sunny days playing on the beach…….No, hang on a minute, now I remember….. that was Cornwall.
Back from the family jaunt into Wales, Its a fantastic place with some great countryside. Did I take the wrong vehicle!! So many good biking roads, surprised I didn't see more bikes. Last day was a bit moist to say the least. I think next time it will be with the bike in some B&Bs.
