wed 9.00pm on bbc 1 cyclists with helmet cams show what dangers they are up against on britians roads and hear from drivers about their views on cyclists. so when are they going to do motorcyclists??
I fricking hate cyclists on the road they are a bloody nightmare, especially those Lycra wearing wankers that ride in big groups thinking they are doing the Tour de France.
I wonder if I shows cyclists going through red, ignoring most basic road traffic laws etc.. Agreed no all of them but a good few
I think it shows from both sides as it showed a bus driver saying there he went up the side of my without checking if I seen him. then the tag line was "the war between two and four wheels"
Not all cyclist are T--ts, I started riding last year to lose a bit of weight and I have never gone through a red light! Come on now, we get enough bad press as motorcyclist because of the few idiots that ride and its the same with cyclist.
I saw a preview and i thought to myself here we go some superfit idiot is going to put a camera on and ride as fast as he can hoping that some poor sucker pulls out without any chance so he can have a rant .Not seen the show yet (Next wed)? but i may not to to far off the mark.
I won't watch it. I grew up watching my dad shouting at the telly and wondering if he was mental and thought the telly could hear him so I purposely don't watch programmes that are likely to bring out any genetic predispositions in me. Plus Jeanette won't want me picking up any tips on how to kill cadence cyclists and make it look like an accident. Bardo makes a good point though and he's right but I think there are three types of cyclists. There are those, like him, that obey the rule of the road and keep out of the way but there are those serial transgressors, safe in the knowledge of an increasing governmental sway to their point of view who filter at ludicrous speed, lurching from pavement to gutter to lane divider without conciounce or backward glance, caring for nothing save keeping their pedal rate constant and their excercise progress App happy and then there are those who keen to try a green, economic and cardio vascular beneficial method of commuting without a single bloody clue about what they or any other road users are doing. That's two out of three chances that some dickhead is going to end up under my wheels through no real fault of my own and no vehicle insurance for me to claim from to repair any damage to my P&J even if the law should subsequently side with the world destroying motorist. Just my view.
I do agree and see your point, but i can honestly say that whether i am in the car or on the bike, i see very very few cyclists actually stop at red lights, they sort of treat them as a give way, have a look then go..... i can only report what i see, i have never ever seen a motorcyclist do this.
