Warning against posting Pics taken on your GPS Smart Phone!

    That's a good point.
    Basically someone posted pics of a bike for sale taken on a smart phone and then pikeys nicked his bike after seeing the location in the images.

    If you right click on any photo saved on your PC it will show you the Details of the image, camera model, settings and GPS data. Best thing to try is to post images on here from various sources/sites and look at the info. Failing that, re save all images via Photoshop or similar (it removes the image data).

    I'll start.
    This was uploaded to Photobucket via the iPhone App.

    Save the image, right click, select Properties, then I think it's Details.

    You need to strip out the EXIF info (the metadata that the camera stores with each shot). There are plenty of free utils around to do that for you:

    EXIF Remover utilities

    Can't remember which one I use at home but I'll post it up later.

    pics uploaded onto the forum pic will not give any info away such as GPS info. But as said if you post a pic of your bike for sale in a area people can see or know then u run a minimal risk
