Hi all, just been out for a quick ride after work and after about an hour, the red malfunction warning light came on, along with the HESD indicator and PGM-FI indicator. The bike didn't misbehave at all. When I was in the next town, I indicated and noticed that when i was at a standstill, the red warning light was flickering. I switched the engine off and restarted and all was normal, until I had a fairly bouncy stretch of road, at which point the lights came on again. I am guessing, that this is not a genuine issue, but more of a short somewhere? any ideas? thanks!

No idea other than the usual.....have a look at the wiring, check for any fraying/trapped wires. Also unplug any multiplugs, squirt with wd or contact cleaner and re connect, ensuring a good tight fit.

Just had the bike looked at as I coudln't see a fault on the wiring loom anywhere and it turns out the steering damper is faulty.
