Rocked up today complete with bike specific adapter. Little bit of a faf to adjust once assembled but it works well and the Blades off the deck for winter! ACE value for £113 delivered!
Cheers YT! Just after a nice 2 stroke 250cc Aprilia now for another Track Day Tool! Just can't afford it at the mo never mind trying to hide it from 'Her indoors'!
Cheers Dude, do i just ring up demon tweeks and ask for Andy ?? Soz for sound like a thicko but never ordered from demon tweeks before and this is lovely piece of kit to ger me blade off the concrete floor over winter And do i need an adaptor to fit the Blade? Mine is exactly same shape as urs
Can someone tell me why it's so important to lift the bike of the floor please? I've never noticed my local Honda dealer lifting his stock of bikes off the floor over the Winter period??
a few reasons, having the tyres touching the ground for months in the same place will/may distort the tyre profile. flat spot. also easier to work on and move about. for that price i'm getting one
Anyone whose interested just email Andy O'hare on the following email! [email protected] (Tell him I sent ya so I get extra Brownie Points!)
they do look and would be very usefull for me but heard a few bad things about them,or was a different make of lift? (constands?)
Yes the constands had some quality control issues I believe and was subsequently removed from the market. Jase has one of these for his Tracker I think? Initial impressions of use and quality are great IMHO, especially for the money compared to the 1jac unit at nigh on £400
You'll find tour local bike dealer moves their bikes around prob once a week to stop flat spots and the like. Plus they have carpeted, dry and heated showrooms that keep the bikes in lovely pristine condition with no chance of condensation or the like gerring in
The constands are great can be a pain to adjust up and did have a few probs to start with the locating pins , mines had a hard life as I used to transport My bike in the old trailer I had with it lifted up so the locating pins bent a bit plus wheel bearings got a bit fecked but I would defo have another . Jay yours doesn't look very high up I would say you haven't got it set up Right as mine used to look like that but now there is a good 10inch of the ground . Scooby I have took mine to Jerez have a look at it there as its great while working on your bike plus saves paddock stands and someone holding your bike while you locate the stand and lift .
You're right Jase but TBH I didn't want it too high in case it keeled over night! I always worry about these things when I first put sumat together despite me doing shyte like this for a living!
Like the look of that.......if anyone remembers my rant about that ENVY bike lift from about 18 months ago.....(Which I'm open to offers on) its ok ish...... and via Steve Betts off here we redesigned lifting plate..... Mine does nt have the hydraulic ram like this one....... certainly looks the biz..... how did you find fit between lifting pins and sockets ??
