    Hi guys.

Just had a Warrior spider stand delivered from Demon Tweeks yesterday for my 07 blade.

Quite tricky to set up but got there in the end (thanks to Martin Owen!).

The only issue I'm having now is that the bike tends to slump to the RH side when it's elevated.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there a remedy for it?

The bike feels sturdy enough and won't fall off the stand but it's just a bit unnerving that it's leaning away from the stand.

    Thoughts?

    I've attached a pic... image.jpg

I think you'll find they all do that, including mine which is an ENVY stand.

I can see why it would be a bit ...... nerve shredding, i have the Abba so it sits ' true ', if i did get a full lift then it would be the Abba Sky Lift.

I'm just wondering if they supplied the correct adaptor kit or not.

The top pin is 100%. Very minimal tolerance but the bottom one is a few mm too thin.

Maybe it's supposed to be like that?

Mine too, don't worry about it.

With all the joints and flexibility that's inevitable with such a design it would be next to impossible for it to sit straight.

I have exactly the same issue :(

The set up is indeed tricky, especially that the pictures on the instruction are not very helpful.
Adjusting the (allegedly) bike-specific adaptor kit to lift both wheels from the ground is a hit-and-miss.
Have you noticed that it is impossible to fit the adaptor when the lift is in full-low position?
I'll check with Andy from Demon-Tweeks if they indeed sent me the right adaptor.
And finally... the bike leans to the right side, it is very 'unnerving' as it looks that the bike might slip-off the pins

I had a look at 1Jac lifts yesterday at Rockingham trackday. All the instructors use them.
The bikes are perfectly even. However, the lift itself is leaning to the left!
So, I think that is the 'remedy' ;) I will try to adjust the level of the wheels (it seems that additional washers could be added) supporting the lift,
so the lift will lean to the left, and the elevated bike is more even.

I'm afraid, however, that it might make fitting the adaptor kit even more tricky.
But first I'll check if my adaptor is indeed the one for Fireblade. It doesn't seem so...

Thank you Martin! It would be very helpful.
Given that I live in Woking I might even pop-in to your place ;) Or you are very welcome to come :D

The lift itself looks solid and attracted lots of interest from other bikers at Rockingham.
However almost everyone was asking 'if it is supposed to lean to the right?'

I have the same issue with my stand amd rr8, at 1st i thought it was the set up of it? After looking whilst lifting the bike i noticed that due to the distance between the lower pin and frame it pivots the lower end due to the hollow bolt, and after looking at other bikes being lifted and seeing them lift square im going to fabricate a spacer that stops the pivot between the bike and frame will post once i have seen the results amd if my bike don't fall off lol

Yep, loosen the large bolt on the main plate and adjust the long threaded bolt to change the angle of the main lifting plate. If adjusting the correct way then it will also lift the front. If adjusting the wrong way then it will just lift the rear higher.

Brilliant, thanks. So is it the bolt on the plate, or the bolt on the handle hinge? Or both?

Grabbed this off Google to help.

Loosen the large gold bolt in the centre of the plate so it will pivot clockwise or anticlockwise as you adjust the long threaded bolt on the far left.

Mine leaned to the RH side too, but i put some shims between the stand and the 2 caster wheels that extend under the bike. Now the stand leans "back", but loaded with the bike it stands perfectly upright.
