i have been told, this morning, Cheshire Police are recruiting. These new recruits are for traffic monitoring - speeding and parking. They will have access to unmarked cars ?? Maybe !! What really stinks is that they will receive a bonus if they ticket so many people per day !! Guess that's a bit of an incentive then. Oh and they will be working shifts over 24/7.not just 9-5. Watch out !!
This has come from a reliable source and not just gossip

Hope it's not true about the bonuses? in Lincs recently some traffic wardens where found guilty of photoshopping the parking times on photo's of parked cars so that could ticket them, people where being ticketed who where clearly not even there at the itmes the photos said

Yep, the mrs followed that one on Facebook after someone was ticketed for overstaying in a car park at a time when their car was actually at home and they were in bed. The council claimed that it was impossible for a warden to frig the time stamp, but after numerous similar complains they admitted that was indeed happening and fired the warden(s) involved.

Must be learning how to fleece the public from the incompetents that call themselves Police Scotland. If this is indeed the case then all other crime will miraculously cease to exist ensuring that all resources can be targeted at extorting as much money as possible and alienating themselves from as many road using members of the public as possible. You will of course understand that terrible crimes like having a tail light out or an empty windscreen washer tank in a car has resulted in millions of deaths and caused untold misery. You will also no doubt be told it's not about targets or making money. Welcome to Scotland ;)

What would happen if every motorist in the UK removed their number plates all at once in a "protest" at being singled out for being easy targets by the police / council / government etc. Double yellow lines are popping up all over the place, speed limits are being reduced for no reason at all and now you cant smoke in your own car if there is someone under the age of 18 in it. They are out to get you because they can and because it is easy to do so.

I live and work in the UK but it keeps putting an american flag on my avatar as I'm at work and use a different IP address.

Oh forgot to add that are trying to introduce a parking permit for cars which are kept on roads. Think this is the council. Something like £60 a permit so if you have a drive and choose to park on a road you pay. How they are going to introduce it God only knows !!! Ker - Ching ££££££$$$$$$

Noooooooooooo police Scotland are amazing at everything lol its not like they wouldn't investigate a crash on the main road where people where trapped and needed help or anything, not to mention the fact they have centralised the call centres to a city because every pen pusher in a city knows everything about rural roads another win.

The thing is im sure police are frustrated as well with all the bullshit paperwork and to even get given a target on how many tickets they should give out is an absolute disgrace what if there was no one committing serious crimes in that area today??
The government seem to have forgotten that the police were produced to provide the public with a service and not there to make money for the government scum that seems to have taken over.

Surprised? Not me. The pretence of cameras being for Road Safety may have been true years ago but has been nothing but a cheap thin veneer for many years now. Most "Safety Partnerships' are simply there to make money and manipulate stats etc to justify their existence.

Years ago I did a bad boy course for being caught speeding. They said that a camera could only be put in a site where there were X number of Killed or Seriously Injured (KSIs) over a set period. When asked what a serious injury was it was said that it was when someone got taken away in an ambulance!

When asked if that included people taken by ambulance for checks and released as being fine they said yes. So bikers who had a scuff on their lid and were taken for a quick check were classed as a KSI. From that day on I never trusted or respected the thieving twàts. They use tech against me, so I use tech (camera databases) against them and gave not been caught since.

Saying that the Lincs lot never used to be too bad. They would put a portable speed camera sign by the limit sign they were checking on, so if you missed that you deserved to be caught! Of course they may not be doing so now but I'll be giving them the benefit of the doubt as long as they continue doing proper road safety ads for stuff like tyres, low sun etc.

Well I'm still waiting to hear what sort of targets the fire brigade have been set every month and if they need to artificially create fires to bring the numbers up to justify there existence!!!

They are already using the figures to reduce fire cover across the country.
It's a bit like saying because I haven't had an accident this year why would I need insurance next year.
