Watch out there is a thief about

Have just been woken up by my garden alarm an intruder had undone the 6' wooden gate (bolted from the inside but not locked) the security light had come on, he found the Shed locked, and I came down in time to see him go out of the gate.

Called the Police and to be fair arrived within 15 minutes.

No damage done but my heart sure was beating hard.

The gate will have a lock fitted to be sure.

Nightmare. I had my mountain bike stolen a year ago. They did 12 gardens down my road and stole 10 bikes. They'll be back. Get a lock on the gate, a ground anchor and big ass chain on the bike & a mobile alarm - 120DcB from Wicks for £40.

I suggest a great big, socially challenged Rotteweiller. Then, every night before you put him in the garden, put a very tight rubber ban around his bollocks, just to put him in the mood.

I hope Super Cub wasn't too traumatised.

Super Cub has a visitor Kuma, so he was fine.

The shed is locked and alarmed there is a big chain on the CBR to ground, the CB1300 is chained and Alarmed But I guess if two men wanted them???

    Thanks for the comments.

Think it would be ott too put high current on the shed door knob? Could put a timer on it so it's only live between say 01:00 and say 04:00 then have it in switched with the security light, then video it and post it on here as the tw@ hits the deck :eyebrows:

Some folk use baby alarms to protect their pride & joy, any noise or disturbance going on in your garage is picked up on the receiver in your house, it is a mobile unit so you can place it in any room even your bedroom, it then gives you time to sneak down and shall we say make a citizens arrest.......with a baseball bat

Judging by how many times I accidentally set my own alarm off (my neighbour did comment that it is a bloody good alarm clock), I'd like to think I'd know if somebody even gave my bike a funny look in the middle of the night. But a knowledgeable and determined thief is always going to find a way to make yours his. The majority of twoc'ers though are opportunists and the best way of protecting your property from them is to make it just slightly more difficult to get at than your neighbours property. Harsh but true.

One day perhaps the common sense police will prevail and we'll be able to maim the little fuckers without fear of retribution but until then we just have to be ... creative. I like deterents that also provide a life lesson. And having to wipe your arse with the same hand you eat your Pringles with is a good one, in my opinion.

They make me sick, if their not scanking the system they are knicking from those that work hard. I'm with you Barmbyblade, a baseball bat should do the trick. A very good Policeman friend of mine said that you should make sure they are facing you when you knock their block off and you should avoid prosicution.
