Everything seems to have shifted forward a month or two. We seem to be getting milder Oct and Novembers these days. I blame George Michael, limahl and the like for all that hair spray used in the 80s. The ozone layer had no chance
Ahhh that's made me feel better , been away 9 wks coming back 15th so hopefully weather will improve I will box up the 47c here and bring some back,,,,glad I've not missed to much get a wk of bladeing in then back here again until sept
Thought you were selling your Blade? I'm looking for one,I'm after something that hasn't been thrashed and has good tyres i.e.plenty of tread on the edges, does yours fit the bill?
I have just got back out here after a week back there Wozza. Hope you get some blade time in, I did and it was great.
Don't worry according to the daily express there is a heatwave due in mid July . Then again this is the same daily express that said last winter was going to be the worst in decades... It was so cold that i managed to get a rebate from the energy company due hardly using the heating at home last year ! Oh and there is no mention of one on the met office website ,so i guess the express was having a quiet news day.
Hi Lordzedd I will let you know when am back as for the edges the s21 are brand spanking new as for being thrashed it is a litre bike so could probably take more than I can throw at it although on its last service the mechanic at Cresent came out and said have you been thrashing it Wozza looks like you've been enjoying it , back for a week so will be out everyday then back again sept so will probably keep it , if I sell it I will only miss it, gives me something to look forward to dessp2.whereabouts are you out here in the sandpit???
Hi Riyadh covering all the malls in retail, would be good to meet for a coffee. , here in golden tulip narrashih district ,just off to office now but will pm my mobile over later...
Okay Wozza,I'm still thinking of a Blade, not yours now then but will perhaps see you out soon then if I can keep up.Only on an adventure bike at the moment, hopefully not for long!!
Hiya Lordzedd I am hopefully back next wk I will buy you a brew at loomies or mc d on the petersfield roundabout at some point , i am a cautious rider I will pull the pin when I know the road, time of day etc...but the road is the road and I'd rather go home and see my wife and kids there are no trophys or money for being quick just your own personal enjoyment as and when, doesn't matter what bike your on my friend is a bike journalist came down to see me and toasted us on a cbr600 belly pan down all about carrying corner speed however back in the day never give a monkeys last one back got the teas in but I am afraid some of those are no longer with us...look forward to meeting you..
Just got back from Zante today. Coldest day we got was 32°c. Seen a few guys riding sportbikes in shorts, t-shirts and flip flops. I'd like to criticise but I couldn't even imagine leathering up in those sort of temps.
I had a week off a couple of weeks ago, went to IOM, flew over, so no bike fun, which was just as well as it rained the full 4 days, got back home to decent weather but was far too busy to get out and ride. Finally got a ride out this last Sunday, went over for dinner at my mothers, forecast was dry but cloudy, but oh no, it rained as I was on my way home. Made for a few interesting moments on a couple of very greasy roundabouts, especially one where I had just gone past some other bikes who were going quite slow. Tipped into the roundabout, went round and as I wound the power back on exiting the rear stepped round, but I remembered my "Twist Of The Wrist" coaching and didn't kill the throttle and let the bike sort itself out. I will admit my a#s€ did give a little 5p-50p moment but I tried to look as cool as I could. How it looked to those other bikers I don't know, they either thought, " we're going to be picking this guy up" or "clever ba$+^rd" Anyway first ride for 6 months and I get soaked.. Typical summer
Rich, you're such a wuss! Just got back from a trip to Spain and highest temperature we saw was 41 degrees.......full leathers of course, too busy enjoying the roads not to be fully protected!
I was lucky then came home last wk and hit 36c and 21c 1st thing in morning , back to normal now 53c today in Ridyah
You're not far off you just go from A/c room to A/c car to Ac mall or office when I came home people coundnt believe I am more pale now than when I came here always used to be out on pushbike etc.....you can't sit in it its a strange heat here in Ridyah they call it the fire does make you eye sockets sore, I would like to have the blade out here just to see tyre grip but I reckon so hot they would slip.....
