Noticed today when I was coming back through york CC that when i shut the throttle off at low speed normally 1st gear sometimes 2nd theres a sort of click noise, almost like if you give it gas and let your clutch out a little late and can hear the chain pick up but its when rolling off? guessing is it the intake flap closing?
I havent noticed it yet but that tweek the clutch lever does on the downshift is annoying......and how loud is selecting first gear
Im fairly sure its the flap closing on the ram intake. Below certain speed/rpm the intakes are narrowed to restrict air flow to the bike. it does sound like its coming from the nose end. i wont hear it once i get the m4 on just wondered if it was my bike or all of em. the loud clunk is maybe clutch cable adjustment?? Mines fairly quiet going into first
no a tweek feeling from the lever.another thread about it said it was the slipper clutch and its something they do. the 1st gear clunk is loud compared to my duke but then honda gearboxes were always like that.
If its that exhaust flapper, then disconnect it. My blade is new and it's the same selecting first, dead loud. It was the same on a Ducati I had, but on a triumph I had it was silent ?
No i've already done the flapper mod to the exhaust until I get my M4 ... Theres another flap setup on the ram air intakes of the bike
