So with MCE, they quoted me £100 less than last year. Still going to look around. Would like TD cover. and I need to add my exhaust also.

So who's paying what? with mods? what extras?

mine is limited 4000 miles which I want to up to 5. the price of the bike now it's a year old? what would someone suggest I put that at? 9K?

Keep the value high, they will only try and knock it down anyway!

Wouldn't worry so much about miles as just say you did loads of trackdays in the rare event they question it.

I had a costly car accident and a brand new blade stolen so my insurance history is a little patchy to say the least!

I'm paying £1,300 in total for:

2011 repsol blade with ALL mods disclosed to the insurance company inc. Carbon wheels and an agreed value of £12k for all mods.
    5000 miles a year

    2008 GSXR 1000 - totally stock
    14,000 miles a year

    '99 GSXR 750 - stock(ish) 3000 miles a year.

Its the cheapest deal i could get for all 3 bikes :(

    Wow, I'm getting spanked!

It's soooo stupid, my 911 Turbo is only £340. I really hate insurance.

When I asked it is 50 % value excess, so if you did stack it you would only get half the value of the bike back ??? not sure if its worth it ??? but its only £99 and at least you would get something but if its a small off you wasted you £99

I am 31 paying £289 Fully comp no excess with MCE

Check your policies with MCE... they wack a load of stuff on without telling you, like security and alarms to bring the premium down, they also got loads of other details wrong when I checked the paperwork. All of which they would no doubt use to get out of a claim.

I know 4 other fireblade owners they have done the same thing to. Yet they try and claim you told them the wrong details, or you put the details wrong into gocompare.... which is easy to prove as a damn lie.

There is a reason they are significantly cheaper than any other insurer for fireblades.

You pay for what you get.

my renewal came thru today for end of feb and hastings want £292 so went on bikeinsurer.tv and motorcycle direct came back at £152. every company that quoted had similar excesses. don,t think hastings will be having my money this time.
