got up this morning and thought go for it. went through otley to pateley bridge, filled up on 2 pork pies,then went over the moors to hawes,where the roads were still a bit wet. (see picture of car in puddle.) ignore the old dear in the picture , she was the one organizing the bike race ,and god knows what i have done with my computer to get her in it .. and before you ask no i dont fancy her. then through shap to penrith ,then alston cafe,over to barnard castle through middleton in teesdale, richmond ,leyburn and back down to the sun inn near otley where it absolutely bucketed it down.nearly 300 miles by my guestimate glad i didnt wash the bike before i went. At least the highways dept have swept up all the stones that were on the hawes to sedberg road.

See that woman in the picture? Thats your bird that is. Wanted a blast myself, but i'm doing a bloody bathroom. All the plumbing, plastering, joinerying, tiling.....ya get the drift.
I was back up at Hawes yesterday and it was lovely.Went to Penrith then on to Heartside cafe today the roads around there are fantastic.God knows how many miles we've done this weekend but every single one of them was thoroughly enjoyed,plus we missed all the rain.
