I have worked more hours than I have slept so far this week and planned to take tomorrow afternoon off for a ride before the weather breaks for the weekend.

But, we had a management meeting this morning which didn’t go as I had planned, so much so that I lost my temper and returned to my office and slammed the door behind me, but forgot to remove my right hand from the door.

I had promised to take one of our interns out for lunch that is coming to the end of her year with us. She has been brilliant; she even grasped my sense of humour, which for a German intern is a right result. What I didn’t consider was that my and my bosses PA would take the hump big time as I didn’t invite her.

So the down side is my PA is pissed off and being really unhelpful and I think I might have two broken fingers, I can’t bend them and they are going black from the palm to the finger tips which means I can’t grip anything and tomorrows ride is not going to happen.

On the up side the intern had a very short and tight dress which as I am old enough to be her father made my day. If only I was thirty years younger and single.

If the fingers in my right hand do not go down over night it’s going to be casualty in the morning, and if I can’t grip the throttle tomorrows ride is not going to happen.

Honest to frigging god. If I stood next to you in copper armour during a thunderstorm shouting 'Thor is a kiddie fiddler!' At the sky, you'd still be the one to get twatted.

This may not help ,but I also am accident prone as I am currently building a garage and while over stretching trying to climb on top of the wall I managed to knock off a block which hit me on the right leg above the knee cap,my leg has swollen to twice the normal size,as a result no bike ride for the whole week despite the perfect weather conditions .alcohol helps ,but not much, hope you heal soon!

    PMSL, That’s brilliant Martin.

Finger swelling has gone down a tad, but one finger is still pretty black, but bendable so I guess it’s not broken, I will keep bending it then hopefully I might be able to grip the throttle, or more importantly squeeze the brake lever. I will see how it goes later.

David it is still possible to move them when broken and leaving too late too be seen can cause damage so I would get checked out if I was you

I would still get it looked at because you'll still be able to bend it if it's broken, I could with mine when I broke mine years ago

Im sat at my desk chuckling to myself, young intern indeed, hope your hand is ok David, however, if it goes numb and the intern doesn't play the game it might be a useful accident, Ill stop there I think?
