Went to go outdoors on the weekend as they had a sale on saw a tent we liked and asked for some advise. The manager came over talked up the tent, said best on market and he said it could be done with a huge front awning for a special package price of £471. We jumped at this as go outdoors normally sell the tent for £500 on its own!
Went to the till but non in stock! We got one transferred from another store and it arrived today, turned up scanned through till........... £786 so I question this and they say ok sir we can do it for £620 as a special price!
The manager swore on his daughters life (what a prick) he never said that price even though he had written it on the box lol.

Any way all ended quite well as he the manager proved he couldn't count again as he calculated the best deal he could do me on the tent and awning and a carpet I had added on with a shelf price of £101

    Tent - 341
    Awning- 196
    Carpet - 78

    Total - £502 WTF

I pretended to be pissed of and said just put it through the till
If he had gone with the original quote he gave me on the weekend that he reckoned would never of happened I would of been paying £572 (pmsl)

This idiot argued with me for 2 hours and then
Oh well I saved at least £400 so worked out in the end lol

I'm sure it was all with good intent. obviously his 'pitch' in sales was good. I think you're a top 'guy' to 'peg' the price.

    I'll get my coat......

The weather is part of the fun lol

Remal - we went for the outwell Montana 6p with all the extras, it's really sturdy and great quality, zips and windows ect miles more advanced than the other makes they had in there show room.
I'm 6'4 and nowhere near the roof and has huge living area.
And with the awning it's the size of living area again.

I go to thruxton for BSB every year with the lads (more of a piss up) with the awning on we have space for all our bikes :D

We were looking at a vango Maritsa 700 first which was also massive!
Put the outwell up in the garden yesterday and it's great was def worth all the stress in the end, really good bit of kit and more than enough room even without the extention. But hey no more cold nights camping for the bikes

Well we decided we would head off to Devon to test out the new tent for a week, prob not the best idea with a 2.5 yr old a 9month old with the cold nights lately but we can always head home.
I think the other campers must of been pissing them selves laughing as we quite obviously had no clue what we were doing and had to take down and re do as missed a bit!
Deffinately a case of 'all the gear, no idea!' all this while the weather couldn't decide if it was raining or bloody hot
Anyway tents nearly complete thought I would post a pic
