I have two sets of boots, one for summer and winter. The winter boots are Daytonas Gore Tex and cost a bloody fortune but work really well and keep my feet dry and toasty. My summer boots were fairly cheap being Alpinestars SMX5 and i really feel that i should have bought a better dry weather sports boot like the Sidi Vortice which my friends swear by!!!

I've only got summer boots at the moment and they are Axo Primato's.
I bought them at the same time as my Axo leather so it seemed a good idea at the time!

I have fairly large feet at size 12 and found the dianese stuff too small, also the italien stuff is difficault to find a stockist who has asize 12 in stock.

Belstaff Scramblers. 33 years old and still the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned. So comfy I passed my car driving test in them.

Ive got Astars SMX plus and they are great. Cant fault them.

What is the benefit of the Supertech R's then?? I thought they would get megga dirty and hard to clean with that mole skin stuff on them??

I have had no problem cleaning them, I have had the smx plus boots as well and they were very good, I think the supertech has a removable inner with the ankle support etc where the plus has it on the outside of the boot, but I may be wrong as I have not seen the new 2011 plus boots

Ive got the older style plus boots. That was my only concern with the ST r's that the mole skin would get manky. The removable inner is a great feature aswell. Im really talking myself into getting them when mine are worn out!! :s

My tech R's are over a year old now and in really good condition .. the mole skin is black so looks fine , the white is turning a bit greyish now but that is to be expected after a 2 summers of use

I have Alpinestars SuperTech R which I use when colder or wet. they seem to keep the rain off very well. and my Sidi corsa Air for hot weather, both great boots. the Sidi did fall to bits on my tour in 35deg heat. well the back came off and due to the rubber screw falling out due to the hear. the rubber mount was so soft after riding all day in very hot weather. But they have lasted 4 years now
