What does VMC 99 on back engine mean?

Cleaning bike yesterday an spotted this its here an at the bottom of engine

 

thats who tuned it/set it up for racing

Lol mate I'm in sunny wirral now not oz haha its got it all over the engine was thinking the same thing. Gears have been upgraded an clutch i noticed when I stripped her down last year

 

some guys do this when they do an engine blueprint too,

I not got a clue mate whats the 99 bit ?

 

can be the engine number to identify when it was done i.e. the 99th blade
engine worked at so they can check the books to see what was all done incase
something goes wrong or doesn't run right.
