I've had iphones for quite a while & found their earphone's great for under my lid....the problem being I've tiny ear holes so their buds being compact were perfect. Anyhow I've got a Samsung now, their buds are waaay too big & uncomfy & the sound quality bit crap. I've been using my iPhone ones plugged in Samsung but you can't alter sound levels etc as not fully comparable & now they getting knackered!
So....can anyone recommend any earphones that will be user friendly with the Samsung, excellent quality sound & as small if not smaller than the iPhone ones?!?

I have trouble getting a good fit too, so this is an option, the putty is on ebay for £3 or less

Sony in ear headphones come with different sized ear buds. That means you can find what fits. They actually fit so well you can't here anything with them in! I happen to take the largest size, the missus happens to take the smallest size. Perhaps that's the reason she can never here me when I start talking about bikes!

These samsung ones come with different sized buds but even the smallest is useless because the main unit sticks out too much! The sound is tinny too compared to iPhone unit! Think I might have to look at those custom ones @sp1n99 has suggested. I know you can get some lids with built in bluetooth but it'd be nice if they started doing it more with the main makes...seems bizarre in this age of technology must be down to costs

What helmet have you got? Sena do custom fit Bluetooth for several makes now. Shoei GT Air on my Xmas list and gonna fit Sena as I find getting my current helmet on with my Apple earphones ok but they get uncomfortable, especially when taking helmet off.

Ive got a shoei xr1100 & arai chaser, the chaser is nice tight fit but its a work of art getting lid on without dislodging the buds & they hurt me too after a bit. I'm getting that NXR brigande soon & that's mega tight think I'll struggle with normal earphone's in that. Could really do with some that sit inside the ear with nowt poking out

Sena do a model that is suitable for Arai helmets. I've got an NXR too but keep that for weekend runs and prefer not to have any distractions so getting the GT Air for commuting and touring with comms fitted.

Slightly off topic, but I had a massive issue with the earpiece doing my bike course, for some reason the over ear style pieces never stay on, and with the helmet being pulled over it just popped straight off.

So 2nd day I cut a semi stiff plastic folder into a strip the size of a small ruler, and used it much like a shoe horn, putting it in place then sliding the helmet over, it worked a treat.

I wouldn't wear ear phones when riding (either motorbike or cycling).

However; I will recommend Bose noise cancelling earphones.

This is the usual response from someone that's never done it!

When I tour I have satnav and music via a Starcom digital system and set at a level where I can still hear the bike and traffic around me but not the (potentially permanent) deafening wind noise. Much more relaxing and it allows you to concentrate on your riding.

On a thrash or on track I use ultimate ear earplugs.
