I recently replaced my front bearings with an AllBalls kit and there are plenty threads on here discussing the fronts, but I couldn't find anything on replacing the 3 rear wheel / sprocket carrier bearings. AllBalls do complete kits for the front of all years of Fireblades, but they don't do kits for the rear after the 2007 model. With genuine Honda bearings + dust covers coming in at around £45 for the front and £95 for the rear, are there cheaper alternatives to the pricey Honda parts cupboard? If anyone has the bearing size/number then that would be really useful (I think .... these are right) Front left: 6324 (AllBalls: 25-1378 - MandP @ £12 complete front kit (K6324-12)) Front right: 6324 Rear left: 6328 (Koyo 63/28 2RS - on eBay @ £25 a pair (no dust covers?)) Rear right: 6328 Sprocket carrier: ????
If its any use, scroll through the lings honda parts page, it occasionally gives bearing and seal dimensions with the part number. Their part numbers don't tally to Honda btw.. Loads of independent bearing suppliers about. Anglia Bearing Company have served me well on heavy plant. However, Honda do use some very specific seals, even noting the make on certain applications. eg, the shock linkage uses Arai seals and nothing but.
Cheers for that. According to that page, the bearing numbers on the rear hub are different.
