Hi Guys I am looking for a grab rail for my 2012 ABS model, I spoke to renntec who although offer one for the 2012 model have never fitted one to an ABS bike. Do any or you guys have one fitted to an ABS model and, what make please.
The Rentec I have fitted to my 2010 abs also fits the 2010 non abs. Maybe the 12 is the same; are the mount points & body shape not the same?
The Ventura one boolts on to the underneath of the bike, and looking at the Renntec site it appears they too use the same mounting points, and the points under the seat.
Renntec have sent me pics of one fitted to a 2012 non ABS and it is fitted to the grab strap holes at the front and the two bolts in the hand grips under the seat so I guess its the same. I was just wondering as I know all the ABS gubbins is underneath the seat and renntec did not know if it would fit or not. Think it will be OK though from the kind info you guys have supplied.
It should be fine, the ABS stuff is lower down and its the hugger if anything that gets in the way. The ventura one fits my ABS model ok, and looking at the pic I am sure the Renntec one would as well.
