as per title, just a fun thread about what pets we keep I have an alaskan malamute called kyra (came with the name as she is a rescue dog) and I also keep marine fish and corals which takes up any free time I want some lizards next as my mate is a top breeder over here but the wife says no on the grounds of breeding their food in the shed
We've got similar hobbies/ pets here's our puppy/dog, went away for work for a week and he took my spot in our bed after not being allowed upstairs let alone on the bed my wife has ruined him!! : So when he decided he likes her shoes I kind of got my own back! : And here's a few of my reef tank End view: full tank shot:
We have 8 horses, 2 jack Russell's ,1 patterdale and a douge de bordeaux ( same dog in film tuner and hooch ) for those that dont know
I'm loving Kyra phantom. Malamutes are superb dogs, not as extreme as the Husky but just as cool. Always look like they're smiling too. Oh look. I've found Nemo.
I don't have any pets but my house collects spiders, I used to have a boarder collie cross that I had from 2 yrs old until he was 14: I really miss him.
Look at that face, wicked. Know exactly where you're coming from mate. I remember watching Julian Clary on Room 101 once and the first thing he wanted put in was the lifespan of pets. I actually applauded him. They're our most forgiving companions and they get stolen from us. Whenever Jeanette moans about the cobwebs covered in sawdust in my workshop I tell her they're Christmas decorations.
We had him cremated and put in a 'scatter box' to spread in one of his favourite walking area but never could bring ourselves to do it, this was 4 years ago, he's sat on the windowsill over my right shoulder at the moment as he always liked to watch the world go by outside the house. We will get more dogs at some point but are waiting until we've got enough time for them as we both work full time.
A friend of mine, an instructor from Lympstone, just across the river, lost his boxer and was devastated. We took him up onto Woodbury Common where he used to love going for runs with the boys from the camp and put him in the ground then sat down and got shit faced until the sun came up. He'd have loved that.
yeah I lost my first samoyd to heart failure, was like losing a member of the family andrew thats some tank you have, take it you are on UR?
You're a real Spitz fan then mate. I sort of concur. Dogs have been so screwed around with over the millennia, it's good to get back close to source, as it were.
I was mate I haven't really looked in on ultimate reef in a long while, those pictures are from a while back now to be honest and i've gradually lost interest. It's a major money pit and my electric bill is astronomical!!
yeah so many cross breed's now.hate that people now advertise giant malamute's...there isnt such a thing.they are breeding them to be bigger which makes them useless as a working dog and more prone to hip failure.
