im looking into getting a quickshifter and know a lot on here have the hm units, are they the best to get ? and which one? as i have seen the super lite at £200 and the plus for £340, is there that much difference as i only ride on the road and am in the process at getting a fueling module and map cheers
Fast bikes done a bike right up about all the hm quickshifters and goes into detail about them all really good if ure in search of 1.. me ive got the sp quickshifter from ebay was only 195 hav been using them for about 4 years now had 1 on my r1 for 3 years really good.. but you can only change how quick it cuts out the coils.. but with certain of the hm 1s u can change the sensitivity of them.. my bro has the top end hm 1 and yea sure u can go from 2nd to 6th in miliseconds... in a nut shell both change just as quick and smooth when going fast.. i know that the sp quickshifter has just brought out a race package that does sensitivity n launch control pit lane etc for 300+
You can get a bazzaz fueling module with a built in quick shifter I have the newer bazzaz USS strain gauge sensor on mine and iI think it's great! But I've never had a quick shifter before this so can't compare it to other makes
I used the HM Plus on my Blade and it chewed up 3rd and 4th gears, i then put the HM SS on my zx10 and it destroyed 2 gear boxes. I know countless people that have had issues with the HM but i also know many that love them... Ive since switched to a Translogic which happens to be much cheaper and to date it has worked flawlessly..
