I use a 16 gb Lexar or Sandisk card in my Go Pro and it is spot on. It gets something ridiculous like 2 hours at 1080p resolution. I wouldn't go bigger than that, as personally I would rather have more cards with less capacity than one huge card, for the simple reason that if you only have one card and it corrupts/get lost somehow, then potentially you lose all your images, whereas it is safety in numbers with smaller cards.

I've been using a 32gb SanDisk in my Drift for the last couple of years without any problems, I got the card with the camera but I think robinh73 has a very good point in using the smaller cards

Yeah, Robin's right, Raph. A handful of cards over one monster one is eggs in a basket, mate. I used to carry a fist full of 4's around with me because, psychologically, I was aware that each one was a DVD's worth of raw footage or images. My current cameras shoot 51mb and 45mb frames, so they're about 7mb and 5mb once they're saved as jpegs, plus the full sized RAW of each. Even then, a 4GB or 8GB card is more than sufficient.

Video, however, is slightly different, especially, something like the GoPro, because you'll be recording everything on a journey. Every traffic light stop, every herd of sheep, so you need to factor in that Hi Def space the whole trip is likely to eat up.

Manufacturer wise, there's not much to choose between Lexar and Sandisk. Sandisk used to come with it's own recovery software that's got me out of the **** a few times. The point is, there aren't that many people making them and most of them sell white boxed, B grade versions on to be re-labelled. I use Fuji these days as I get them through work. I'm sure they're made by Sandisk, nobody'll tell me though.

+1 on that and the GoPro tends to go flat on me quite quick so too bigger card will just flatten the battery.

Dont a cheap supposed class 10 card as they are not!! I bought a cheap class 10 and the GoPro didnt like it, would stop recording and be very annoying. Got a 32 scan disk and its perfect. Also get a couple of spare batterys. I would like the 64 gb as 32 doesnt last a whole morning ride..

On the GoPro 1, I use 8 & 16gb but on the Ghost Drift S, I use 32gb PNY as was informed that Samsung don't function correctly on the Ghost.

Horses for courses really, I would rather have too big a memory card than too small, as on the odd occasion the 8gb had filled up whilst still riding (caught up in roadworks) and hadn't realised there's 5+ mins of wasted footage.
