Just finished sorting ours. June 2012, South of France here we come again. First stop, Chatillon-sur-Seine for one night, great little hotel with a fantastic BBQ place just a short walk away (and crawl back). Day 2 on to Le Pue en Velay for a couple of nights so we can visit the Millau Viaduct, and most importantly ride the fantastic roads around there. I've been there before but mates haven't so it's a must. Next stop, Digne-les-Baines, on the edge of the Route Napoleon for two nights. This allows us to ride what I reckon is the best bit of RN down to Grasse and back again. Probably nip to Cannes whilst we're in Grasse, depends how impatient we are to get back on to Route Napoleon lol. Day 6, return journey, ride up to Annecy, staying in the beautiful Old Town for a night. Day 7, back to Chatillon for our last night before the ride back to Calais. Around 2000 miles, no more than 300 miles in any day, so very do-able. Can't wait! What trips have you got planned for 2012? JD
Belgian Ardennes, 5 nights near Spa, b n b n em, free beer n wine, 210quid. Fantastic roads n tanks. June 6 to 11.

want to go back to iom again, but taking the bike this time ( flew over last year). getting accomodation is a bitch.
You plans sound great, I have never taken my bike oversea's so I'm planning to do so next year. My perents live in Le Roc St Addre so thats a perfect start.
Do it, you'll love it. take it steady on the motorways and toll roads or it will cost you a big fine or an arrest. The D roads are fast and comparably empty.
I too would love to do an over seas, preferably Spain, However I think we are planning 5 days in Scotland next year
Overnight ferry from Hull to Rotterdam,3 Nights Black forest and then on to Austria 4 nights in Landeck .All booked can’t wait
Black forest is awesome mate! You'll love it... If your coming down through Germany, got to stop off at the ring, great to have a look round, see the cars and complex, also some amazing roads in that area!
Love to do the TT but prob wint happen so just track days and anything else I can get on with my mates should my rest days allow it!!!
I managed to secure a ferry crossing but cant get accomadation, so its back to Lemans for the moto gp with a couple of friends, one on a rc8r and the other an Aprilia rsv1000. gentle ride down there have good time watching and a not so gentle ride home, it took a day for my cheeks to recover last time.
Next year I plan heading back up the west coast of Scotland to the Isle of Skye, staying over, then onto Applecross 'try google to see this place it's amazing' . From there head upto Ullapool, Inverness, again stay over, & back down via the cairngorms rollercoaster road. I no it's not the sunny climes of abroad but god it's gorgeous views and amazing roads
